All members who want to volunteer in the following roles troop leader, assistant troop leader, troop treasurer, fall product program manager, cookie program manager, troop helper, or service unit leadership volunteer must have a current background screening and are required to complete a new one every three years. Your background screening will expire three years from the date of your last background screening.
An email notifying you that your background screening will expire will be sent 90, 60, 30, and 15 days prior to your expiration date. This email will come from theadvocates@sterlingvolunteers.com and will include instructions to complete. Please complete the application within 72 hours of receiving the email.
Electronic background check fees run approximately $11.75 (can vary by county). Financial aid is available and is listed as an option when you are completing the application from Sterling Volunteers.
