Before the workshop, take a walk around your neighborhood, a local park, or even your backyard or street and collect "treasures" from the natural world that catch your attention such as leaves, twigs, stones, seedpods, etc. We will look closely at our collection to sketch them and get to know them better in our session.
Bring paper, eraser, 2 sharpened pencils, a black pen, any color medium of your choice (colored pencils, crayons, watercolors, etc.) and your collection of treasures (3 to 5 items). Create artwork to complete the Daisy, Brownie or Junior Art and Design badges.

This workshop is best for 4th grade and older. Use what you learn to create designs for others to complete the Junior Create and Innovate badge.
You will learn about the design thinking process and how to create digital art using p5.js to generate simple and fun designs right away by typing and editing simple codes. Before the workshop, you will need to follow simple steps to install the program and be ready to use p5.js.
