Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts can earn their Counselor In Training 1 or Counselor In Training 2 at most Girl Scouts of Northern California camps including Volunteer Run Camps. Camps are required to have CIT’s complete 18 hours of pre work if their session is under 6 days. Camps that are 10 days do not need to have any prework completed before camp. Volunteer Run Camp Directors have access to the CIT 1 and CIT 2 manual in their Director files to help design their camps specific CIT 1 and CIT 2 programs. This leadership award is progressive and CIT 1 must be earned before CIT 2. If your youth is in high school and interested in earning the award, please contact your camp directly.
