Camp CEO brings together Girl Scouts from across Northern California and accomplished women leaders from a variety of careers and backgrounds. Through hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, and meaningful conversations, participants build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and form connections that last beyond the weekend. Whether you’re a Girl Scout ready to discover what’s possible or a leader ready to invest in the next generation, Camp CEO is a weekend you won’t forget.

What Girl Scouts Do at Camp CEO

Who Can Attend
Camp CEO is open to Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors (grades 9–12) in rural communities and Community-Based Programs. Participation is application-based, and applicants must apply and be accepted to attend. No previous leadership experience is required, just a willingness to participate, learn, and show up as yourself.
Selected participants attend at no cost. Lodging, meals, activities, materials, and shuttle transportation are all provided.

Who We’re Looking For
Camp CEO mentors are accomplished women leaders from a variety of professions and backgrounds who are passionate about investing in the next generation. Mentors participate in the full weekend experience at Camp Bothin.

FAQ for Youth Participants
How do I apply?
Complete the Camp CEO application by September 14, 2026. You can find the application link in the For Girl Scouts section above, or apply directly here.
Is there a cost to participate as a Girl Scout?
Camp CEO is offered at no cost to selected youth participants. A nominal refundable deposit is required upon registration to confirm your spot. This deposit will be fully refunded following the event. If you have questions about the deposit or need financial assistance, please contact info@gsnorcal.org.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing suitable for both indoor and outdoor activities. Closed-toe shoes are required for outdoor adventures, and we encourage you to bring layers for cooler mornings and evenings.
Where will I stay?
Participants will stay in their own bunk in one of our historic buildings that feature dormitory-style living at Camp Bothin. Lodging assignments will be shared upon arrival, and trained Girl Scout staff will be available throughout the weekend.
What will I receive when I arrive?
Each participant will receive a Camp CEO welcome bag with a canvas backpack, notebook, writing supplies, and personal care essentials. The official Camp CEO T-shirt is distributed at the closing ceremony as a keepsake.
Will meals and snacks be provided?
Yes, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are provided throughout the weekend. We will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies submitted during registration. Please bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the weekend.
Will transportation be provided?
Shuttle transportation is available from 2 pick up locations at this time: Red Bluff Center and the Eureka Office. Additional pickup locations may be added based on participant interest and regional demand. Shuttle schedules and detailed instructions will be shared with registered participants before the event.
If you plan to drive directly to Camp Bothin, detailed arrival instructions and parking information will be shared before the event.
Will there be free time?
Yes! In addition to scheduled workshops and activities, you’ll have time to relax, connect with new friends, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Camp Bothin.
Can I request to stay with another Girl Scout?
Yes! We’ll do our best to accommodate requests when possible. Instructions for submitting requests will be shared before the event, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
What if I don’t know anyone?
That’s perfectly okay! Many participants attend Camp CEO on their own. Icebreakers, team activities, and shared lodging experiences make it easy to meet new people and build lasting friendships.
What if I don’t know what career I want to pursue?
No problem! Camp CEO is all about exploring possibilities. You’ll meet women from a variety of professions who can help you discover new interests and career paths.
What if I have accessibility or accommodation needs?
We are committed to creating an inclusive experience for everyone. Please let us know about any accessibility, mobility, medical, dietary, or other accommodation needs before the event so we can make appropriate arrangements.
What happens if it rains?
Camp CEO takes place rain or shine. Some activities may be modified or moved indoors based on weather conditions.
Will photos and video be taken during the event?
Yes. Photos and videos may be taken throughout the weekend for Girl Scouts of Northern California’s promotional and marketing purposes. Photo permissions will be honored according to your registration.
Can my parent/caregiver visit during the weekend?
To help participants fully immerse themselves in the Camp CEO experience, parent/caregiver visits are not permitted during the weekend except in the case of an emergency.

How do I get involved as a mentor?

There is a separate registration process for mentors that will be shared by the Fund Development team once your participation is confirmed. Priority consideration will be given to mentors who express interest by September 25. Reach out to learn more.
Is there a cost to participate as a mentor?
Mentor participation includes a contribution that covers your spot as well as a campership for a Girl Scout participant. Why do women choose to become a mentor at Camp CEO?
As a mentor, you’ll participate in the full Camp CEO experience alongside Girl Scout participants, including leading discussions, participating in outdoor activities, shared meals, and evening camp traditions. You’ll have dedicated time to connect with your mentee as well as other mentors and participants throughout the weekend. It’s a meaningful, fun, and memorable experience.
Many mentors tell us the connections they make with fellow mentors are just as meaningful as the ones they make with their mentees. It’s a rare opportunity to spend a weekend with a community of accomplished women who are all there for the same reason.
