Leftover Troop Cookies

While the goal of the Girl Scout Cookie Program is to sell all or as much of your cookie inventory as possible, we understand that sometimes troops may end the season with more cookies than expected. If that happens, don’t worry, here are a few ways to manage extra inventory.

Option 1:

Continue selling through end of May

  • Girl Scout troops may continue selling any remaining Girl Scout Cookie inventory they have on hand through May 31.
  • After May 31, Girl Scout troops are financially responsible for any unsold cookies remaining in their inventory.

Option 2:

Purchase & Donate Remaining Inventory

  • Girl Scout troops may choose to outright purchase (buy) their remaining cookie inventory. Once purchased, these cookies can be enjoyed by the troop or donated to a local community partner.
  • If a Girl Scout troop chooses to donate their cookies, they are encouraged to continue to follow

Care to Share guidelines for giving to:

    • Local food banks or shelters.
    • Military organizations.
    • Hometown heroes.

Please note, if giving away or donating cookies, be mindful of the product sell by date.

If you have additional questions about how to manage your Girl Scout Troop’s remaining Girl Scout cookies, you may contact the Entrepreneurship Program Team at info@gsnorcal.org.

ACH Form

If Girl Scout troops do not have sufficient funds in their Girl Scout troop account to cover the upcoming ACH (Automated Clearing House) withdrawal, they must complete the ACH Credit Form.

The ACH Credit Form is used to:

    • Adjust the ACH withdrawal amount.
    • Request reimbursement for counterfeit bills or bank fees (such as fees for cash processing or multiple transactions).
    • Report stolen money or product.
