Overview
GSNorCal provides financial aid for membership dues, uniforms, council program/events, GSUSA Destinations, council-organized travel, and GSNorCal camps. Learn about each type of financial aid below.
Membership Dues
Membership dues are $90/year for youth and $30/year for adults.
Girl Scouts of Northern California welcomes youth and volunteer members in any financial situation. Both new and returning members can apply for membership dues financial aid.
- Youth Annual Membership Dues: Caregivers can request financial aid for Youth Annual Membership Dues when they complete their registration from their MyGS account, no questions asked. If you’re having issues logging in to your myGS member account, review the MyGS FAQs. - Adult Annual Membership Registration & Background Checks: Adults can request financial aid for their annual membership dues by filling out the online Adult Membership Financial Aid Request Form (Español).
- Because we believe that adult volunteer screening is so important, we are pleased to be able to provide financial aid for essential adult background checks. Background Screening
Uniforms
Youth can request uniform aid, which includes a voucher to our retail shops to purchase a sash, vest or tunic, Girl Scout membership pin, insignia tab, council ID patch set, American flag patch and troop numbers. Apply for uniform aid with the online Uniform Aid Request Form (Español).
Need-Based Financial Aid
Any youth who is a registered Girl Scout living in one of the 19 counties that GSNorCal serves is eligible to receive need-based financial aid.

GSNorCal Camp
Financial Aid requests for camp have been built into the registration process.
