Recruiting new Girl Scouts isn’t just about adding names to a roster; it’s about ensuring that more girls have access to the life-changing experiences that Girl Scouting provides. Without steady recruitment, troops shrink, opportunities diminish, and fewer girls will benefit from the programs that help them grow into capable, courageous leaders.

Volunteers play a critical role in this effort. As the face of Girl Scouts in your community, you are uniquely positioned to share your experiences, inspire families, and show what makes Girl Scouting so special. Your enthusiasm and outreach can make the difference between a girl trying something new or missing out entirely. By getting involved in recruitment, whether through local events, school outreach, or word-of-mouth, you help ensure that every girl can have a place to belong in Girl Scouts.

Logo, Brand, and Social Media Resources 

Ensure that any social media or print materials you produce are consistent with our branding rules and guidelines and utilize current logos appropriately. You can find our brand resources in the Help Center but if you need additional assistance with branding, email info@gsnorcal.org.

Flyers

Your GSNorCal recruitment staff member can provide you with printed flyers to advertise Girl Scouts in general, or specific recruitment events that your service unit is hosting or assisting with. When it comes to sharing the flyers, think outside of the box! Are there local businesses who would be happy to take a small stack by the register or post a flyer on their community board? Connect with PTA presidents and office managers at your service unit’s elementary schools to share copies through newsletters and send them home with students!

Share the fillable flyer templates below with troop leaders who are planning to recruit new members to their troop. The flyers are customizable, with space for troop details and contact information. Encourage them to hand flyers out at school, sports, and other activities they participate in.

Branded Giveaways

Your recruitment staff member can provide you with branded items to use as giveaways at tabling and community events, such as parades. If you would like to produce your own, use our official logo or have your unique design approved by emailing it to info@gsnorcal.org.
